Kia ora koutou,
As part of the Hāpara Champion Trainer course we were tasked to create yet another Workspace, YAY! All sarcasm aside, practice makes perfect and while I would not say my Workspace is perfect, each one I create has gotten closer to being what I envision as a long lasting and sustainable site for teaching and learning.
As this third Hāpara course focuses on facilitation and teaching tech to adults, I tried to make this a theme for my Workspace, putting myself in the position as an MKO or "more knowledgeable other". While I am not on our school's e-learning team, I do take the opportunities to share with the wider staff and/or present when we have cluster-wide meetings.
This Workspace that I created is called "Digital Tools Your Students Can Use to Share Their Learning." My hope for this Workspace was to be a usable space where teachers from my school (and others!) can go to reference digital tools for their tamariki. I have guided the Workspace to allow the adults to 'play in the sandpit' and try out the tools prior to bringing them into the classroom.
I've also left a place for feedback and comments on what else could be included in order to benefit the teachers who can then take it back to their learners. I have also shared out the link to my colleagues at school to 'publish' this Workspace and actually have it see the light of day.
If you are a Hāpara teacher, you can view my Workspace here.
